Remember that you must allow access to your phone’s camera in the user registration process in order to take a test.

Instructions:

  • Before you will begin the test, it is advisable to remove the case from your cell phone so that it does not interfere with the final test result.

  • Take a resting position at least a few minutes Before the test.

  • During the test remain seated, do not talk and try to be as still as possible without making any movement with your arms.

  • Place your finger on the camera or cameras of the cell phone pressing lightly without covering the flash light.

  • Rithmi recommends performing two measurements per day, one in the morning and one in the evening, in a resting state. Additional measurements during the day are recommended if symptoms are present.
  • Testing in brightly lit outdoor areas may affect the result, it is recommended to test indoors.
  • An internet connection is required to perform the tests.
  • Testing is not recommended for people under 22 years of age.
  • Make sure you do not cover the camera flash while you are performing a test, sometimes the camera flash can get hot and cause discomfort to your finger.
  • Wearing fingernail polish or tattoos on your finger can weaken the signal and interfere with the effectiveness of the tests.
  • Given a “Heart Status Correct” result, Rithmi does not guarantee that the user will not experience arrhythmias or other health problems. In the event of any change or suspicion in your health status, we recommend that you consult your physician.

Step 3. Place your finger lightly over the camera(s) of your phone without covering the flash light, sitting down and placing your arms on a flat surface.

Some phones have multiple cameras. Try the test by covering one or more depending on your phone model until you get a correct PPG signal.

A correct PPG signal should look similar to the graph below:

Step 4. Once the test will begin, you will have to wait the 30 seconds that the test lasts, knowing at the moment the result.

Step 5. Obtaining the result. There are two possible results: Correct heart condition or possible anomaly detected.

  • Correct heart condition: This means that your heart rhythm is regular and we have not found any abnormality.

  • Possible anomaly detected: Means that your heart rhythm is irregular and we have detected a possible anomaly.

In the event of an anomaly result, we always recommend performing a second test in case it was not performed correctly.

Sometimes, an anomaly result may appear if the test has not been performed correctly, because if the camera has not detected the pulse properly, our algorithm may interpret it as an irregular rhythm.

Before performing a second test: Remember to carefully read the above instructions on how to perform a test to obtain an optimal result.

In the event of a second abnormality, we recommend that you consult a doctor so that he/she can make a proper diagnosis.

All tests performed will be stored in the history/reports section. You can access them whenever you want and download them to your cell phone. In addition, every week you will receive an email with a report of the results.
